New Delhi: The honey that you consume thinking it will be beneficial for your health, then wait and analyse that what you are consuming is whether pure honey or just a jar of sugar with antibiotics.
According to the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) report, India’s leading brands have high levels of antibiotics, which could pose major health problems.
The report also finds that brands like Dabur, Baidyanath, Patanjali Ayurveda, Khadi and Himalaya had two to four antibiotics in their products, much above the stipulated standards.
“Surprisingly, India regulates antibiotics in the honey it exports, but not in the honey sold domestically,” a CSE official said.
