Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar says he had the best seat in the house as he watched his now retired opening partner Virender Sehwag bat from the non striker’s end.
“Leaves his signature on the game with his tremendous achievements. Loved his instinctive approach to batting & life,” Tendulkar tweeted minutes after Sehwag announced his retirement from international cricket today.
“Had the best seat during most of his superlative performances on field. Am sure Viru’ll do much more to bring joy & smiles to our faces,” he added.
Sehwag’s longtime captain Sourav Ganguly felt the feared batsman deserved a grand farewell.
“He was one of the champions of the game. Someone who deserves a huge standing ovation,” said Ganguly.
