New Delhi: To put a check on cheating in the board examinations, newly formed Uttar Pradesh government under BJP’s Yogi Adityanath government has issued helpline numbers on Tuesday.

The state government has issued two numbers-one, WhatsApp 9454457241-and another landline-0522 2236760-to prevent copying.

Interestingly, before coming to power Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised that, if his party voted to power, BJP will stop copying mess in board examination.

Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, heading Secondary Education department, had held a video conference with District Magistrates recently and directed them to ensure that there should be no copying in the ongoing board examinations.

“While prohibitory orders are enforced, how come there was news of copying during exams? The sanctity of examinations should be ensured,” Sharma said while directing “strict action against copying mafia and those involved in it.”

Taking note of reports of mass copying in Hardoi, Aligarh, Kanpur, Kaushambi, Mathura, Kasganj, Unnao, Agra, Faizabad, Gonda, Brabanki and other districts, he directed concerned DMs to act immediately to check the menace.

The deputy CM also warned officers against indulging in any illegal work or letting anyone misuse their name.

“You all should alert me if someone calls you in my name or any of my relatives’ name,” the Deputy CM asserted.
