A Sikh residing in Canada has posted his views on social media trying to expose the reality of the slogan “Bharat Mata ki Jai”.
In his video, he said that these days a new system of nationalism is being propagated in India that if one does not say “Bharat Mata ki Jai”, he will not be called a nationalist or a patriot of India. He asked the question to the patriots and nationalists that when he was a child, a mythological story was taught. According to this story, there used to be a king called “Raja Dushyant”. He fell in love with a girl called “Shakuntala” in the forest. She gave birth to a child. Raja Dushyant left her in the forest and went to his kingdom. After many manipulations in the story, Shakuntala meets the king. The child born to Shakuntala is named as “Bharat”. Later he becomes a very good king. Our country has been named “Bharat” after him. The first question is according to this story, our country was named “Bharat” because it was the name of the son of Raja Dushyant and Shakuntala which means that our country was named “Bharat” which is a male name. In such a situation, how can we say “Bharat Mata ki Jai” to a male. If you want to proof male a female by force, he would neither remain a male nor a female. The person who is not a male and a female, is very well known to Shiva Sena, BJP and Mr. Togadia what it is called?

It is therefore not appropriate to raise this conflict of the gender of this country. Every citizen of his country is true to his country and every citizen has the characteristics of nationality and he has concern for the benefit of his country from every aspects. By becoming the sole contractor of this country, you should not make an attempt to say that one who does not say “Bharat Mata ki Jai” is not a nationalist. You keep this ideology with you and allow the people to lead their lives peacefully.
