Watch: Sonu Nigam posts morning ‘Azaan’ video on Twitter, says ‘good morning India’

New Delhi: After making it to the headlines with his tweets about the usage of loudspeakers during morning ‘Azaan’, Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam has now once again invited all the attention. This time, the 43-year-old vocalist has posted an a video on Twitter wherein the morning azaan can be heard.

In the short clip, he has recorded the sound of morning ‘Azaan’. It was uploaded around 5-5.30 am on Sunday morning. He captioned the video ‘Goodmorning India’. Have a look:

It is being speculated that the clip was posted online by Nigam to prove his point which he raised in his earlier tweets.

For the unversed, the ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ actor took the nation by storm after terming the practice of Azaan as “forced religiousness,” on April 17.

His controversial tweets using the terms guldagardi and “forced religiousness” after being woken up by morning azaan has been criticised as anti-Muslim.

His tweets evoked a mixed response on the Internet and among every genre of people in the nation.

However, after being trolled mercilessly for his Twitter rant, the ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ singer spoke about the issue, saying, “When I am talking about Loudspeakers, I did mention Temples and Gurudwaras too.”
