New Delhi: An unknown man carrying a knife barged into Kerala Bhawan intending to harm Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan in New Delhi today.
The incident occurred around 10 am when the CM was leaving for a meeting, DC reported.
The attacker identified as Vimal Raj, an Alappuzha native, aged around 46 had already entered into the Kerala Bhawan with a knife and some papers.
According to the Police and intelligence officials, have filed an FIR against the man and found his mental condition is unstable and sent him over to the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences.
While the journalists stood waiting outside the CM’s room the attacker joined the group. It was when the security personnel sensed something wrong and questioned the attacker, he took out a knife from his bag and ran towards the CM’s room.
But according to some reports, the man was jobless and wanted to commit suicide before the CM since he was heard shouting that he wanted to die since he was jobless and said though he wanted to work CM was not allowing him to do so.
