NEW DELHI: Multiple fake videos emerged on social media claiming that Indian Muslims celebrated Pakistan’s victory over India in ICC Champions trophy 2017 Final on Sunday.
One of the videos, which went viral on social media, especially on Twitter and Whatsapp showing a group of adult Muslims celebrating Pakistan’s win.
The videos claiming that Indian Muslims celebrating Pakistan’s victory happened to be a scene from Mira Road Masjid from Mumbai.
A page called “We Support Arnab Goswami” has more than 11,000 shares for this video on their page.
But in reality, if one closely observes the logo of the TV channel it appeared to be from PTV Sports, the most viewed Pakistani sports channel and the match was watched by Bohra Community in Taheri Jamat Khana in Saddar in Pakistan’s Karachi.
Another video has been doing round on social media shows two youths riding on a bike carrying a green flag.

Indian Muslims celebrating a Pakistan win is a matter of grave concern. Do we have treasonous people who work to undermine our nation?!

However, a closer look clearly shows that the flag carried by the youths which many alleged on social media as Pakistan’s flag is in reality the Islamic flag.
Interestingly, this same video was posted on Youtube on March 15, 2017.
The rate at which false videos of Indian Muslims celebrating for Pak's victory on fake pages are spreading, IT Cell is on to something.
