In a horrifying incident that took place in Mumbai, the assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Shaikh Yunus Pashamiya was targeted by the right wing activists in Mumbai.
A gang of 200-250 right-wing activists caught hold of him and forced him to uphold Saffron flag and asked him to perform Mujra.They also made him shout Jai Bhavani, Jai Shevaji.
The agitated men also tried to shave Yunus’ beard. The ASI suffered severe head injuries after which he was rushed to the nearby hospital. Yunus received at least 25 stitches.
The act was in reaction to ‘Yunus had told them that they should not put the flags at public places’. Shockingly, among a group of policemen, only Yunus was targeted.
