Kota (Rajasthan): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Kota, MLA Bhawani Singh Rajawat has alleged that Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani had prior knowledge of the demonetisation of Rs 500 and 1,000 notes.
“Ambani-Adani ko pehle se pata tha aur unko hint de diya gaya aur unhone apna kar liya” (Ambani and Adani were given hints of demonetisation after which they converted their money).
However, on Wednesday, Singh denied making the comments. “I did not say any of those things being shown in the video,” he said.

Singh, in the video can be heard criticising the implementation of the demonetisation policy.
“First you should have printed the new currency as per requirement. But like announcements of changes in petrol prices, you announced that Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 are invalid from midnight,” he said.
Singh’s claim has created quite a stir on social media.
The BJP MLA has been criticising the implementation of an ‘unplanned’ currency ban since the beginning.
“Adequate currency should have been printed prior to the demonetisation move keeping in view the population,” Singh was heard saying in the video.
Singh is not new to controversies. Earlier, he demanded criminal background check for Bihari students coming to Kota and advised bikers not to wear a helmet, arguing that it was uncomfortable and caused baldness.
