Aligarh: Well-known cleric Maulana Kalbe Sadiq said that the remarks made by Shia Waqf Board Chairman Syed Waseem Rizvi is a strategy to avoid CBI probe, hence his statements should not be linked with Shia Community. He has been appointed by the government and his statement has nothing to do with Shia Community. If BJP and RSS are trying to shield Waseem Rizvi, they are directly trying to support all those who were involved in irregularities along with Waseem Rizvi.
Maulana Kalbe Sadiq was addressing a press conference following a meeting held at Social Science Faculty in Aligarh Muslim University. The meeting was organised by Centre for Interfaith Understanding.
On the Babri Masjid issue Maulana Kalbe Sadiq said media has distorted his comments on Babri Masjid. He didn’t mean to say what people have comprehended with his statement.
