Former Rajya Sabha M.P., Mr. P.Madhu, Senior CPI (M) leader demanded the Govt. of A.P. to take stern action against those who try to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the city. Mr. Madhu was addressing a press conference at S.V. Bhavan yesterday. He told that behind the recent communal incidents, there are vested interests of some local political parties of the city. He further told that the communal organization, Vishwa Hindu Parishad is trying to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the city from time to time. It is inciting the feelings of hatred of the individuals of one religion against the people belonging to another religious faith. He expressed his strong sentiments of anger on the silence of Govt. on all such incidents. He said that the criminal silence of police and Govt. is strengthening the evil designs of these communal forces. He regretted on the recent arrests made by the Police in Musheerabad, Sabzi Mandi and Charminar areas and said that instead of catching the real culprits which is causing restlessness among the public. He told that representation has already been made on behalf of C.P.I (M) for the immediate release of innocent youths. Mr. Madhu declared the extension and construction of Bahgyalakshmi Temple at Charminar illegal and said that the management of the temple should implement court orders and stop further extension. He also demanded the State Administration to ensure implementation of court orders and to maintain the peaceful atmosphere of the city.
