Explosive opener David Warner produced a sparkling performance on Monday night as Sunrisers Hyderabad set a challenging 186-run target for Kings XI Punjab here in their Indian Premier League tie at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
Warner smacked a quick-fire 81 off 52 deliveries, including six fours and five sixes, before he was dismissed by Beuran Hendricks.
The Australian left-hand opener received significant support from Shikhar Dhawan (24) and subsequently from compatriot Moises Henriques (28).
Hendricks was the pick of the bowlers for KXIP as he scalped two wickets, including of Eoin Morgan (17). Moreover, Glenn Maxwell and Gurkeerat Singh claimed one wicket each.
Following the dismissal of skipper Warner, Lokesh Rahul and Karn Sharma teamed up to delivered some meaty blows to help their side score 185. (ANI)
