New Delhi:It was a warm and sunny Sunday here as the maximum temperature of the day rose two notches above the season’s average to settled at 36.5 degrees Celsius, the weather office said, but predicted rains in the night or on Monday morning.
“It will be a generally cloudy sky on Monday. Rains or thundershowers are likely to occur in some areas of Delhi and NCR towards Sunday night or Monday morning,” an official at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told IANS.
Maximum and minimum temperatures on Monday would hover around 33 and 26 degrees respectively, the Met office said.
Sunday’s minimum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degrees, a notch below the season’s average, while the relative humidity osscilated between 59 per cent and 89 per cent.
Saturday’s maximum temperature settled at 32.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season’s average while the minimum temperature of the same day was recorded at 29 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average.
