Jashpur, Chhattisgarh: Three girls of Government Residential School were forced to shed their clothes by the nephew of Hostel cum School Superintendent.
According to media reports, the incident took place on 17 August at the government-run residential school located in Pattakela village under Bagicha block in Jashpur district.
As per information received, two girl students of class Vth were allegedly forced to be naked under the threats of Pintu Chauhan who is the nephew of Superintendent Sumitra Chauhan.
When one of their friends objected to the illegal indecent obscene act, she too was beaten and physically abused.
When they complained to the school authorities, instead of taking appropriate action, the girls were beaten and threatened of dire consequences.
Reportedly, the girls left their hostel and went back to their native village and narrated the whole incident to their family members.
The incident came to light on Monday evening when the family members and villagers of the area gheraoed in-front of the Girls Residential School demanding that strict action against the accused and the expulsion of the lady Superintendent.
They also alleged that the Superintendent used to reside in the hostel with her husband violating the rules.
As per the guidelines issued to all the Residential Schools after Jhaliyamari incident, none of the male staff or family member will be allowed to enter in the residential school premises in evening hours.
The accused has been arrested under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of IPC and section 8 of POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offence) Act and Sumitra Chauhan has been suspended in this connection.
JR Nagwanshi, AC Tribal said, if anything offending or against rule will be found strict actions will be taken against.
