Warangal meeting a success: Etala Slams Oppn for false criticism

Finance Minister Etala Rajender today claimed that the 16th formation day of TRS has been a success with people voluntarily turning up to Warangal to bless Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Speaking to reporters at Karimnagar, Eatala extended thanks to people, who came to the public meeting addressed by the Chief Minister. He accused the Congress and Telugu Desam parties of failing to digest the people’s support to the public meeting of the TRS. Rajender slammed the Opposition parties for trying to gain political mileage through making baseless criticism on the public meeting. The huge turnout by the people can be attributed to the welfare schemes, he claimed. “The Opposition should stop mud-slinging against the government and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who was striving for the inclusive growth and all-round development, Rajender said.

Efforts were being made to complete Medigadda project to turn Karimnagar district as water hub, the Finance Minister stated. The Government was trying to increase the capacity of Kakatiya Canal under LMD to distribute waters to 9.40 lakh acres. A committee of retired engineers will be constituted for this to come up with a report, Rajender said, adding that the Opposition parties are afraid of their bleak future as the government was giving sops with funds to help develop poor and communities like fisherman, Yadavas, washerman, barbers and others.

The youngest State has become an ideal to the nation by implementing various welfare schemes for the poor, he claimed. The flagship programs like Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya are fetching accolades from other states which are trying to emulate while Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated them for the vision to provide safe waters and irrigation waters to households and crops respectively he said.

Rajender also said the government was able to continue several schemes with people’s support, including pensions, fine rice to hostels, marriage schemes of Shadi Mubarak, Kalyana Lakshmi, KG to PG schemes, opening up of residential schools for SC, ST, BC and Minorities. (NSS)
