Warangal man dies of starvation in the Gulf

Warangal, July 20: MD Shabuddin (53), a resident of Warangal, reportedly died of starvation in the Gulf. According to information reaching here, Shabuddin went to the Gulf in search of livelihood. As he was unable to find a job there and lacked food, Shabuddin died six days ago. Shabuddin had gone there after borrowing Rs 1 lakh and paying the amount to a lcoal travel agent.

The relatives of the victim poured out their woes before Major Irrigation Minister P Lakshmaiah on Sunday. They told the minister that they had no money to bring the body of Shabuddin back and pleaded for the help of the government.

Shabuddin did not come back to Warangal as he had no money.

According to his relatives, he worked as a sheep-rearer for some time and was ill-treated by his master.

Lakshmaiah assured them that he would help in bringing the body to Warangal.
