Hyderabad: Wooing Warangal engineering students of 1,000 jobs in the next 18 months, IT Minister K T Rama Rao today said good days are ahead for the city as the government will make it another IT hub after Hyderabad.
Laying foundation stone for Cyient’s Infotech Centre and IT Incubator towers in Warangal, KTR vowed to release Rs 5 crore on Saturday to IT Park development. “Today it is historic day and the people should recognize it”, he said, adding that an incubation center will be opened in IT SEZ in the city. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has a lot of affection on the district and it will develop IT sector, he said.
To encourage students get campus placements for IT jobs, the government will take steps to offer them skill development training and need based skills to bridge the gap between institutions and the industry or companies offering jobs, he averred. While IT growth is 13 per cent at national level, it was 16 per cent in Telangana, he claimed. In future, Warangal city will become an IT Hub, he declared.
KTR also said Warangal students need not to go to Hyderabad and Bengaluru for IT jobs as they can get the same locally through these institutions. Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari said the TRS government was focusing on Warangal development. The city, he said, is set to become a noted destination for IT Hub, Textile Park and Education Hub that will provide thousands of jobs to the students. (NSS)
