War Only Solution To Discipline Pakistan: Paladugu

Reacting to the serial bomb blasts in the city on Thursday claiming precious lives, Congress leader Paladugu Venkatrao has stressed the need to discipline Pakistan with a limited war or parleys at diplomatic levels to settle the issues. Otherwise, incidents like Dilsukhnagar, will recur in other parts of the country, he added.

Speaking to the media at the CLP office on Friday, Paladugu said the country has to step up counter-intelligence or counter attack to curb the terrorist activities. He has alleged that Pakistan-sponsored ISI was bent upon weakening the country’s economic strength and development. He wanted the Union government to curb ISI activities with iron hand.

Alleging there were people in the country, who were ready to do anything for the sake of dollars, he said Indians were not like Chinese, who have patriotism and determination. He said the country was facing threat from four neighboring countries. He also stressed the need for the State government to set up Internal Security Ministry to assess the alerts sent by the Union Government.

Faulting the State Government for not allowing the police to work freely, Paladugu said some 3,000 police personnel were deployed for the security of Ministers, MPs, MLAs and others. He also alleged that the State Government was sending thousands of police men for protection of ‘walkathons’ launched by YSRCP Chief Y S Jagannohan Reddy’s sister Sharmila and TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu. He felt the government has to recruit adequate force to tackle incidents like Dilsukhnagar otherwise there was no guarantee to the lives of the people, Paladugu added. (NSS)
