War on graft: What were you doing in last five years KCR, asks Jeevan Reddy

Hyderabad: Congress MLC T. Jeevan Reddy on Saturday ridiculed the statement of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on eradicating corruption in the State. He asked the CM if he was not responsible for the corruption in the Revenue, Municipal and Panchayat Raj Departments as KCR was ruling the State since the last five years.

Jeevan Reddy said the Chief Minister, who was calling the Revenue department as corrupt now, had heaped praises on the same department after completion of land survey. He wondered whether the Chief Minister had any grip over the governance of the State as he never went to the Secretariat. He also alleged that CM KCR has diluted the RTI Act and the institution of Lokayukta.
Questioning the KCR whether he had allocated funds for Grama Jyothi, Mana Vooru Mana Pranalika programs, the Congress MLC dubbed the comments of the Chief Minister on corruption as Devil quoting scriptures. He alleged that the officials were resorting to corrupt practices with the active support of the Chief Minister. He also accused KCR of spending Rs 1,000 crore in the Assembly elections from the money he made as commissions from irrigation projects.

He alleged that the ruling TRS party had become the care or address for corruption in the State while referring to the statement of a Sircilla municipal chairperson that she took bribes as she was asked to do so by none other than the working president of the TRS party KTR, who is also the MLC from the same seat.
