Waqf Survey proofs that temple was constructed on Waqf land

Waqf land has been included in the land on which Telangana Tirumala Devasthanam was constructed recently at Banswada assembly constituency of Nizamabad. This was proved by Waqf Survey. On the special interest of minister belonging to the district, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, a large temple was constructed at Thimmapur village of Banswada in which Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao performed special Puja on April 2.

Waqf land attached to Dargah Hazrat Maula Ali was used for construction of temple. On the representation of local Muslims, Chief Executive officer Waqf Board Mohammed Asadullah directed concerned Waqf Inspector Abdul Quader to conduct inspection. It is said that pressure is mounted on Waqf inspector and local Muslims to keep mum on the issue. Inspector will soon submit report to CEO.

According to Waqf Board record 85 sqyds land belongs to Dargah, a part of which has been used for construction of temple. If extension of the temple will be done, total Waqf land will be used for temple.
