Hyderabad: 3 Waqf properties have been illegally occupied around Golconda and Qutub Shahi Tombs and pattas have been issued by revenue officials. Waqf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem inspected the properties along with the public representatives.
He inspected Dargah Hazrat Roohullah Khan, Dargah Hazrat Asadullah Neknaampura and Waqf properties attached to the historic Qutub Shahi Masjid located near Qutub Shahi Tombs. Either the Revenue officials have issued pattas or the land mafia has encroached the lands located under these institutions. Following inspection along with the Waqf Board member Moazzam Khan, respective MLA Kausar Mohiuddin, Chief Executive Officer Mannan Farooqui and police and Revenue officials, Mr. Saleem expressed anger over Revenue officials who distributed the Waqf land among poor.
Besides complaint has been received against encroachment on Waqf land of Hazrat Roohullah Khan by Secretariat Employees colony.
Mr. Saleem has called a meeting of district collector, commissioner police and revenue officials at Hajj House to resolve the matter.
