Tabela Safar Khan is located at Moazzam Jahi Market X-road. It is a Waqf property having an area of 800 as per the records in the gazette. The property till recently housed a famous hotel and perfumes shops until some part of it was acquired by HMR under Metro Rail master plan.
Mutavallis of the property plan to build commercial complex on the land, however Waqf Board sprung into action and set up board declaring it to be Waqf land. Jalaluddin Akber issued show-cause notice to the concerned Mutavalli.
It must be noted that there are several other commercial Waqf lands like Begumpet Task Force Land, 500 sqyds land at Khairiatabad and Waqf land at Chiragh Ali lane which are illegally occupied these Waqf land worth crores of rupees can be developed and used for the community development.
