Hyderabad, January 17: The government has issued a memo to the Andhra Pradesh state waqf board and asked to send the file regarding a building given on rent at Kattalmandi Abids. Secretary minority welfare Mohammad Ali Raffath directed chief executive officer of waqf board to send the original file regarding the building given on rent within 2 days.
The memo no. 7511 was issued on December 28, 2011 however the waqf board has not obeyed the order yet.
It is said that a building admeasuring 400 sqyd at Kattalmandi has been given on rent on a very low rent. While the applicant had offered more rent. It is said that an applicant had offered 2 lakh non-refundable deposit and 15000 rupees monthly rent. It is said that the waqf board formed a 3 member committee in this connection which recommended for the tenant who offered 4000 rupees per month and the board handed over the building to him.
The building at prime locality has been given on rent on a paltry sum of just 4000 rupees. The 1st applicant lodged a complaint with the government. On which secretary minority welfare sought the report.
