Andhra Pradesh State Waqf board has focused its attention towards preservation of Waqf properties and in this connection it has decided to ensure effective defence in the cases on trial in courts so that the valuable Waqf properties can be restored. Since he has taken charge, Waqf board chairman Maulana Syed Afzal Biabani Khusro Pasha, has focused his attention towards protection and restoration of Waqf properties.
For pursuing the cases in High Court and Supreme Court, services of noted advocates are being taken. He also took special interest for protection of Waqf land of Manikonda Jagir worth, several thousand rupees and following the Supreme Court ruling in favour of Waqf board he expedited the efforts for restoration of land. The next hearing on Manikonda Waqf land on which Lanco Hills has been constructed, is on August 23. Waqf board has hired a famous advocate to represent it in Supreme Court.
