Waqf Board employee robs man of Rs. 60000 by promising Haj volunteer job

Hyderabad: A Waqf Board employee robbed a man of Rs. 60000 by luring him to provide Haj volunteer job. The matter came to light when Abdul Jabbar resident of old city called on Executive Officer, Telangana Hajj Committee, Prof. S A Shukoor and complained that last year on the occasion of Hajj, a Waqf Board employee promised him to provide the job of Hajj volunteer and collected Rs. 60000 from him. After the completion of Hajj, he refused to refund the amount. The man said he has an audio recording to support his claim.

The Waqf board employee is said to be on outsourcing in the security section.

Prof. Shukoor clarified that Hajj Committee does not arrange departure of Hajj volunteers. He asked people to beware of the persons who promise Hajj volunteers job or approval of name in the waiting list. Hajj committee will not be responsible for such frauds, he said.
