Hyderabad: The Waqf Board crisis which continued for the two weeks ended on Tuesday when Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Asadullah resumed office at the end of his leave. Uncertainty prevailed as it was believed that he could extend his leave for further two weeks.
It must be recalled that Mohamed Asadullah had sought leave fed up with the political pressure and lack of cooperation by higher officials. Work was paralysed in Waqf board during his leave period and no officer was ready to take the responsibility.
At one stage Mr. Asadullah had decided to take leave extension however with the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister and secretary Minority Welfare he rejoined his work.
Waqf Board staff heaved a sigh of relief on the return of Mr. Asadullah.
