Waqf Board chairman Maulana Syed Ghulam Afzal Biabani better known Khusro Pasha made a surprise visit to Aneesul Ghurba orphanage. He was surprised to see only 4 members on duty out of total 23 members.
Waqf Board chairman said the report published in Siasat regarding embezzlement in Aneesul Ghurba and gobbling up of orphans’ fund, followed a spate of revelations. Waqf board came into action and suspended Mir Akber Ali and the cashier. It has also been decided to changer EO Syed Ali Ahmed.
Mr. Khusro Pasha revealed that to contain irregularities in Aneesul Ghurba, all the staff of the orphanage will be deputed in Waqf board and new staff will be appointed for Aneesul Ghurba. There was no proper record of the funds, donations, rice, food grains, sheep and goat donated by the philanthropists.
Khusro Pasha agreed to install CCTV at various places in the orphanage to keep eye on the activities of Andeesul Ghurba. It was also revealed that every year a stall is allocated in Hyderabad Numaish for orphans of Aneesul Ghurba so that the handicraft made by them can be put on sale but sadly this stall is also sold at a high price and the money goes into the pockets of the staff members.
The poor orphan children told that they are forced to wash the clothes. They also revealed that they are badly thrashed by a staff member.
