The Memorandum of Understanding for construction of new Hajj House near Shamsabad International Airport is almost finalized. The MoU is likely to get approval in the first week of next month in the meeting of Waqf Board after which the chiefs of both the institutions (Waqf Board and Hajj Committee) will sign the MoU.
According to highly places sources in the MoU, Waqf Board has agreed to give 10 acre land on lease to Hajj Committee. The monthly rent of the lease will be Rs. 11111. Initially the lease will be for three years however it may be extended after three years. Sources said that government has endorsed the agreement however approval of Waqf Board is awaited.
It must be recalled that Waqf Board and Hajj Committee had locked horns over the control of the proposed 10-acre Hajj House complex at Pahadi Shareef near the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamsabad.
