Jammu, September 21: A Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) terrorist, wanted in the Pathankot bomb blast of 1997, was arrested from the city by the Punjab Police.
Identified as Baljir Singh alias Pinka, the terrorist was arrested yesterday following a tip-off provided by the Military Intelligence, a Defence spokesman said here today.
A resident of Nanak Nagar area here, he was wanted by the Punjab Police in connection with the Pathankot bomb blast of 1997 in which ten people were killed and over 30 injured.
An FIR under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Explosives Act was registered against him in the wake of the blast.
He was also declared a proclaimed offender.
Pinka was produced in a court in Pathankot which sent him to police custody for eight days.
