Want Kaleshwaram or Shaneshwaram? Harish asks voters

Hyderabad:Caretaker Minister T Harish Rao today warned the people not to vote for the Congress-led alliance partners as it is tantamount to Shaneshwaram, and instead give votes for the ruling party for completing Kaleshwaram project.

Addressing several public meetings in support of the ruling party candidates at Warangal Urban area of Vardhannapet and Yellareddy in Nizamabad area, Harish said the Kutami is a conspiracy against the Telangana people. The arch rivals the Congress and the TDP got together with TJS of Prof Kodandaram and CPI to fight the TRS. He ridiculed TD Chief Chandrababu Naidu for forging alliance with the Congress as part of his conspiracy to defeat KCR, the boss of the ruling party and caretaker Chief Minister.

He also found fault with Prof. Kodandaram for befriending the Congress and the TDP whom he spoke against them during the statehood movement. Chandrababu was playing opportunistic politics and the people in Telangana should not encourage his dramas, he said. The TRS regime under able leadership of KCR has been spending 43 per cent budget for welfare like no other State in the country doing, Harish claimed. “Our flagship programs are being appreciated at the national level but the Opposition was finding fault for mileage in polls, he said.

He listed the welfare schemes launched by KCR, including 24 hour power to farm sector, giving pensions to old, Rs 8,000 for crop investment, Rs 5 lakh for farmer insurance, KCR Kits giving financial assistance to women on delivery, Rs 1 lakh for marriage of poor girls and others. On coming to power again, the TRS regime will increase pension to Rs 2000 and Rs 3000 respectively for old and disabled persons. The time is nearing for the polls and the voters should think for welfare and will face crisis if they vote for the Congress-led Kutami, he added.
