New Delhi: Iqra Khan, daughter of the slain Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) estate officer M.M. Khan, on Tuesday said her family wanted an unbiased and fair investigation into the murder case of her father and stringent punishment to the culprits.
“We want an unbiased and fair investigation into the case,” Iqra told reporters during a candlelight march here.
“We have taken out the candle march to get justice for my father. We are very thankful to those who helped us, but we don’t hold any grudges against those who did not help us,” said Iqra.
When asked police had arrested two goons in connection with her father’s murder, she said, “The hotel owner was involved and should be punished stringently.”
Asked about the alleged involvement of BJP lawmakers in the murder, Iqra said, “Please don’t ask political questions to me.”
Khan was shot dead on May 16, a day before he was expected to pass an order on the terms of the lease of The Connaught, a four-star hotel. Hotel owner Ramesh Kakkar was arrested along with six others in connection with Khan’s murder. (ANI)
