Hyderabad, October 26: The 5k walk organised by Rotary Club, Gachibowli was flagged off by renowned Badminton champion Pullela Gopichand in the presence of Rotary district governor C Suresh and president Jony Lawrence at 7:30 am inside the Gachibowli Stadium on Sunday.
Also present on the occasion were secretary Ruchi Saran, president elect Ramachandran Sitaraman, community service director Seema Bharati and other Rotarians from the club and district.
The walk was to support the cause of the Government Girls School in Serlingampally by providing them with the basic facilities needed. Major MNC’s and corporates from the IT and financial district of Gachibowli like Microsoft, Wipro, HSBC, ISB and Hotel Ista participated with full enthusiasm.
