A complaint has been filed before the High Grounds police against four Wakf Board employees for allegedly misplacing record file bearing No. KBW/REG/6(A)/KLR /99-2000, relating to registration of Waqf Alhaj Abdul Khuddus Saheb foundation in Chickballapur, from the Kitabul Auqaf (Waqf Register) here on February 21.
Board employee Mr. B. Mohammed Hashim, FDA, Karnataka State Wakf Board (KSWB), who is working as a record keeper is the custodian of the registration files of Waqfs and the register relating to the Kitabul Auqaf is in the custody of Ms. Shamsia Kauser, DEO, who is an out source employee and Sadiq-ur-Rahman, FDA and Saleem Babu, DEO, KSWB are also involved in this case.
Mr. Younus Saleem , a relative of Waqf Alhaj Abdul Khuddus, has obtained copies of documents relating to registration of the property with the assistance of RTI 2005 on September 10. Mr. Saleem Babu, DEO an out source employee has issued the documents related to the Waqf property and Mr. Sadiq-ur-Rahman, FDA had worked in this case, according to the report presented by KSBW to High Grounds Police Station.
Waqf property bearing Khata No. 148 IN SY. No. 171/2A measuring 1-o9 Acres of land was illegally alienated without the prior sanction of the Board and the board officials had intentionally destroyed the documents, the report added.
Mr. Saqid Pasha from Chickballapur, a social activist also filed an application on February 07 under RTI. The report stated that the file was forwarded to Shamsia Kauser to get further information. She later forwarded the file to the record keeper.
Speaking to Karnataka Muslims, Mr. B.S. Rafiulla , chairman, District Wakf Advisory Committee, Chickballapur, said that Mr. Younus Saleem and the Board of Trustees of Alhaj Abdul Khuddus Saheb Foundation, Chikballapur are allegedly involved in illegally selling the Waqf possession and the Waqf Board Officials helped them in destroying the records.
Alienation of the Waqf property without permission of the Karnataka State Board of Auqaf is an offence under Section 52A of the wakf amendment Act, 2013. It is also a cognizable and non-bailable offence, Rafiulla added.
He also said that, the property was worth Rupees 10 crores, which has been sold illegally, and the construction work had started on the site already, but it stopped after an FIR was registered and the investigation is on.Courtesy:Karnataka Muslims
