There is a need to seek the cooperation of non-Muslim leaders to protect the Wakf properties of the Muslims. Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor Siasat and Polit Bureau member of TDP told this in a meeting in Adilabad arranged in recognisition of the services of TDP candidate Mr. Payal Shankar. He appealed to the people to cast their votes in favour of TDP candidate Mr. Payal Shankar to strengthen the hands of Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu. The meeting was arranged by Jameeatul Ulema, Adilabad Branch.
Criticizing the Congress Govt. he said that the budget allotted by it for Minorities is insufficient. He alleged that Congress Govt. is doing injustice by selling Wakf properties. He told that the land of Hyderabad airport belongs to Wakf Board. He demanded the Govt. to provide 50% profit of the income of airport. He said he has already represented the matter alongwith Mr. Vicaruddin in Delhi but no action has been taken so far. The other speakers applauded the services of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan.
