Hyderabad: Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali held a highlevel officials’ meeting yesterday. It was attended by Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare, CEO of Wakf Board, Mr. Mohammed Asadullah, District Collector of Nirmal, Joint Collector of Nirmal and Municipal Commissioner of Bhainsa Municipality.
Mr. Mohammed Asadullah contended that Wakf Board has records to claim the land which has been taken away by Bhainsa Municipality. He said that under survey number 330, nine acres and nine guntas, under 330/1 five acres and under 330/2 four acres of Wakf land is registered for which Pahani records are available with the Wakf Board since 1950. He also told that on 26 guntas of Wakf land, Municipality constructed commercial complex for which district collector had placed this land under the disposal of Municipality in 2002.
Govt. officials claim that they have acquired this land under land acquisition act whereas the requisite formalities have not been completed. They say that, they should accept the records of Asst. Director of Survey, Settlements and Land Records.
Mr. Mahmood Ali told that if it is proved that it is Govt. land, the Govt. will withdraw its claim. In the meeting it was decided that the report submitted by Asst. Director of Survey would be given to Wakf Board. After its scrutiny, Wakf Board would present its claim.
It may be mentioned that Municipality constructed 40 malgies on Wakf land. Recently, Mr. Mohammed Asadullah had visited Bhainsa and initiated action on the basis of available Wakf records.
Local leaders of Welfare Party of India, Mr. Mohammed Sayeed Ahmed Advocate, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Gabbar and Mr. Mirza Ilyas Baig attended the meeting.
It is reported a leader of local political party is making an attempt to prove that it Govt. property. When Wakf Board officials started the process, allegations were leveled against them and police cases were registered. Wakf Board wrote a letter to SP of the district to withdraw these cases and presented the records of Wakf Board.
