Wakf Board Special Officer and Minority Welfare Commissioner Shaik Mohammad Iqbal on Thursday directed the officials to lodge a criminal complaint against Madina Education and Welfare Society Secretary KM Arifuddin.
Speaking to media persons after inspecting the Madina Public School here, Iqbal said that KM Arifuddin has declared two-day holidays to the school although the Wakf Board took control over the management of Madina Public School and other institutions a day before. He said that the Wakf Board would ensure that the academic year of students do not get disturbed due to takeover of institutions from the MEWS. He directed the officials to lodge a complaint with Narayanaguda Police Station against Arifuddin for declaring a holiday to the school.
Further, Iqbal said that Arifuddin runs a pharmacy, engineering and management colleges at Moinabad and if relevant proofs were found that those colleges were with the funds of MEWS, and then the Wakf Board would also take over those institutions and their properties. He said that the officials have been directed to collect details of IT returns filed by KM Arifuddin and Madina Education and Welfare Society. (INN)
