Wakf Board suspends two officers, 4 employees

Govt. of Telangana suspended two officers and 4 employees of Wakf Board for creating hurdles for Special Officer in taking charge. The suspended officers are Sultan Mohiuddin, Law Officer, Saleem Basha, Deputy Secretary, Sanaullah, Senior Assistant and Syed Husain, Law Officer.

It may be that Wakf Board employees had gone on strike yesterday suddenly on the issue of payment of salaries. They had disconnected electricity of Hajj House Building and had brought the functioning of All the Minority institutions located in Wakf Board building to a standstill. In addition to this they had used abusive language against the Govt. and its officials. After getting the orders from the Govt., Mr. Mohammed Jalaluddin Akbar, IFS reached Hajj House to take charge of Special Officer of Wakf Board, the employees obstructed him. It is also reported that Wakf Board employees indulged in arguments with Mr. Akbar and Mr. Asadullah, CEO. Police was commissioned to control the situation. After getting the detailed report, Govt. issued orders for the suspension of erring officers. It is also reported that Govt. is investigating the cases against four suspended officials. It is reported that an officer of Wakf Board has taken a loan of Rs. 10 lakh and he has not repaid it. The complaint has been lodged in the police against these officers. The police registered cases against them under section 341 and 343 of IPC.
