Wakf Board refused NOC for construction of compound wall of Muslim Graveyards in Bhainsa

Hyderabad: Telangana State Wakf constituted a three member committee including CEO to visit Muslim graveyards of Bhainsa within three days and to submit its report in a week’s time.

Briefing the newsmen after the meeting of the Wakf Board, its chairman, Mr. Mohammed Saleem told that a three member committee consisting of Maulana Akbar Nizamuddin, Mr. Malik Mutasim Khan and Mr. Mohammed Abdul Mannan Farooqui, CEO has been constituted. This committee would examine wakf records and the actual local situation of the graveyards. The Board will take a decision in its next meeting taking into consideration the report of this committee. If the report establishes the fact that 3111 sq. yards of land of Abdullah Khan Graveyard is a wakf property, no commercial activity would be allowed and board will protect this property. MIM members of the board took strong objection for exposing the recommendation letter written by MIM President, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi and demanded probe into it.

A report has also been sought from Inspector Auditor of Wakf Board of Bhainsa. The three member committee would also hear the arguments of both the parties.

It was also decided to take control of Masjid Eidgah Guttala Begumpet and to appoint an officer to monitor it permanently.

It is reported that two separate panels were presented to Wakf Board for the nomination of managing committee members but no panel was accepted. Chairman told that an ad-hoc committee would be constituted within 15 days. He also suggested that the NRI citizen who had offered to construct masjid should be made President of the managing committee.

In the last meeting of the board, an objection was made for the continuation of the services of the retired employees and board had terminated them. The CEO desired that the board may revise its decision as the services of these employees are essential. The board after careful consideration decided to entrust responsibilities to the employees till they attain 65 years of age and those above this age should be terminated.

The issue of appointment of Mutawalli of Dargah Hazrat Salar Aulia, Hafizpet also came up for discussion in the meeting of the board. It is reported that Mr. Waheed Ahmed Advocate wrote a dissent note against the appointment of Mutawalli permanently.

It may be mentioned that there is a land of 140 acres belonging to above mentioned Dargah. Most of this land is occupied by illegal possessors.
