Why was Wakf Board office sealed? : Hyderabad High Court

Hyderabad: Hyderabad High Court instructed the Govt. of Telangana to explain under which rule, the office of Wakf Board was sealed and all the files and records were seized?
A division bench consisting of Acting Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court, Mr. Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili directed the Govt. of TS to file an affidavit. The division bench was hearing the PIL petition in which the powers of the government were challenged. The petitioner contended that in the presence of elected Wakf Board, Govt. of Telangana took this action whereas as per the Wakf Act, Govt. has no such powers.
When the High Court wanted to know the reaction of the Government, the Govt.  pleader, Mr. B.V. Prasad informed that this action was taken after receiving complaints of irregularities. The next hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
