Wakf Board meeting scheduled for 10th April

Hyderabad: An important meeting of Telangana State Wakf Board is scheduled to be held on 10th April. A review of the ongoing cases in courts would be made. Auctions of the important dargahs of the State would be finalized.

Talking to newsmen yesterday, Mr. Mohammed Saleem, Chairman of the Wakf Board apprised the newsmen of the agenda of the Wakf Board yesterday. He told that the auctions of Dargah Hazrat Jahangir Peera, Daragh Hazrat Saadullah Husaini and Hazrat Jaan Pak Shaheed could not be held for the past three years which resulted in decrease in income. The rents of the occupants of the Wakf properties could be revised. The tenure of office of Mutawalli of Dargah Yosufain would be reviewed.

An IAS Officer constructed house on 900 sq. yard Wakf land, illegal constructions at Nana Masjid Basheer Bagh and other such cases would be reviewed. He said that two task force teams would be constituted and they would be given vehicles. They would take immediate action against illegal possessions on wakf properties. Inefficient staff of Wakf Board would be relieved and new staff would be recruited. Action would be taken to restore 1560 acres of Wakf land in Manikonda. GMR would be requested to provide Namaz facility in parking area of the Airport.
