Hyderabad, September 22: Mohammed Habeebuddin Ahmed on Tuesday took over charge as the Chief Executive Officer of the state Muslim Wakf Board.
A former Deputy Secretary (Minority Welfare), Mr Ahmed also holds the additional charge of the Haj Committee Executive Officer.
Mr Ahmed’s name was proposed by the government and the Wakf Board accepted the proposal, thus making his appointment unanimous.
A GO was issued by the state government on Tuesday, confirming Mr Ahmed’s name as the CEO.
Sultan Mohiuddin was the interim CEO after the former CEO BS Farouk Ahmed was arrested after being caught red-handed a bribe for doing an official favour.
