Hyderabad: The local residents of Basheer Bagh area alleged that despite various representations against the illegal constructions on the Wakf land of Masjid Nana Bagh, Basheer Bagh, Wakf Board failed to take any action. Illegal constructions adjacent Masjid Nana Bagh are going on by private parties.
It may be mentioned that recently, Chairman of Wakf Board, Mr. Mohammed Saleem had visited Masjid Nana Bagh and issued instructions to illegal occupants to stop constructions. Despite this, illegal constructions are in progress.
According to the reports, the illegal occupants enjoy the patronage of political bosses. Police have also been refrained from stopping the construction.
The local residents approached the Haj House and expressed their displeasure on the inaction of Wakf Board. They contacted CEO of Wakf Board, Mr. Mannan Farooqui and requested him to intervene immediately.
It may be mentioned that under Masjid Nana Bagh, there is 7 acres land which belongs to Wakf Board. For the restoration of this land, Wakf Board issued notices but the illegal occupants are not prepared to hand over the properties to Wakf Board. Wakf Board instructed them to become tenants. It is reported that many illegal occupants have approached the court.
