Wakf Board faces financial crisis – Police help to collect rents suggested

Hyderabad:  Telangana State Wakf Board is facing financial crisis these days. It has less income and more expenditure. If this situation continues for a longer time, it may not be possible for Wakf Board to pay the salaries of its staff.

It has been observed that for the past 3 years, there has been a decline in the income. The chairman of Wakf Board instructed the officials to take necessary steps to collect arrears of rents.

There are many properties from which rents are not being paid for the past so many years. In addition to this, many wakf institutions also have not been paying wakf fund regularly.

Mr. Saleem has decided to launch a special campaign for collecting rents for which it is also suggested to seek police help.

The CEO of Wakf Board proposed that if the officials of Wakf Board show lethargy in collecting the rents, their salaries for July 2017 will not be paid.

Wakf Board has decided to convene its meeting. It has been reported that a lot of money in the form of rents pertaining to Makkah Madina Alauddin Trust and Nabi Khana Maulvi Akbar, Pathergatti remains to be collected. Wakf Board has increased the rents of the shop but the occupants are not ready to pay enhanced rents.

The chairman informed that after Bonal festival, he would camp continuously along with CEO to collect the arrears of rents with the help of police.
