A meeting of the A.P. State Wakf Board was held under the chairmanship of Maulana Syed Ghulam Afzal. In the board meeting held on 18th Feb. after passing the resolution to seize properties held by Qadiyanis, other items of the agenda could be taken up for discussion. In order to complete the remaining items of the agenda the meeting was convened yesterday.
The board constituted 26 managing committees and nominated 10 various wakf institutions. Nine new properties were entered in Wakf Book. Construction work on two Wakf properties were sanctioned.
It was decided to take the management of two mosques under Wakf Board’s control. On captain Kaleem’s application, Board approved to enter Masjid Rahmath-e-Alam in Wakf register and nominated Mr. Syed Vicaruddin as its Mutawali (Custodian) CEO was advised to present the plan of the mosque and other documents. Wakf Board also considered the transfer of Dr. Mohammed Ali Rafath, Secretary of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare and decided to represent matter to CM of A.P.
