(Pervez Bari) “Wakeel Panchayat” will be organised here in Bhopal on August 12. The panchayat has been convened by the Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan at his residence at 11 am on Sunday.
All the office-bearers of State Bar Council, Bar Associations of all the High Court benches, all the law officers of offices of Advocate General Jabalpur and Additional Advocate General, Indore and Gwalior and presidents vice-presidents, secretaries, deputy secretaries of all the district and tahsil level bar councils as well as librarians and government pleaders additional government pleaders and special public prosecutors of districts have been invited to “Wakeel Panchayat”.
The state Law Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra will also be present on the occasion. The “Wakeel Panchayat” has been convened as per earlier announcement of the Chief Minister.
It is noteworthy that Panchayats convened by the Chief Minister have become a source for various sections of society to solve their problems through direct dialogue and interaction with these sections.
So far, 21 panchayats have been held. The process started with Mahila Panchayat on July 30, 2006 followed by Kisan Panchayat, Adivasi Panchayat, Van Panchayat, Anusuchit Jati Panchayat, Kotwar Panchayat, Laghu Uddhami Panchayat, Khel Panchayat, Shilpi Evem Karigar Panchayat, Kisan Mahapanchayat (Jamboree Maidan), Nishaktjan Panchayat, Machhua Panchayat (Jabalpur), Self-Help Groups’ Panchayat, Mandi Hammal-Tulawati Panchayat, Voluntary Organisations’ Panchayat, Shahri Gharelu Kamkaji Mahila Panchayat, Cycle Rickshaw Evam Haat-thela Panchayat, Vidyarthi Panchayat, Pheriwalahs’ Panchayat and Machhua Panchayat (Lal Parade ground). The last Panchayat that of senior citizens was held on April 11, 2012. (pervezbari@eth.net)
