APCC Chief N Raghuveera Reddy today said that they will not feel let down in politics despite the poll debacle. Talking to media persons here, he said that the results of general elections routed them out, but they being the soldiers of the party, will rebuild it.
He alleged that being aware of defeat, they entered the fray, but did do like JC Diwakar Reddy who switched loyalties. ‘We stayed put in the party and did not run away from the party like Diwakar Reddy’, he maintained. He suggested that TD Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, who will steer as AP Chief Minister, to keep his promises made. He exuded confidence that Naidu will waive the farm loans and there is no need for panic for farmers in the state. He demanded that Naidu should take an immediate step to waive the loans by affixing his first signature on the related file. Raghuveera also stated that they will call on Governor ESL Narasimhan in this regard and seek his cooperation.
Former APCC Chief Botcha Satyanarayana sought that the Government should conduct Medical Entrance Examination following the previous process which enables the students of both states to appear. He also suggested that the Government should take steps to ensure that EAMCET 2014 should not go into the hands of Private Mafia. ‘We will stand by the youth and cater to their needs who are future of the nation, Botcha stated. The Congress leaders also decided to review the poll debacle in Seemandhra, besides taking steps to strengthening the party. (NSS)
