Vyapam scam: CBI registers two fresh FIRs

Bhopal:The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed two fresh FIRs in the controversial Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh.

The first FIR has been registered against the five accused and the second FIR involves 13 accused in the scam.

The CBI on Thursday had registered six new FIRs in connection with Vyapam case.

The first case was registered against four accused for alleged irregularities in 2009 Pre-Medical Entrance Test, the CBI said in a release.

The CBI has already registered 67 FIRs and launched 12 preliminary inquiries into the Vyapam scam.

The Supreme Court on July 9 handed over the Vyapam cases to the central investigating agency. Over 40 people linked with the scam have died under mysterious circumstances or committed suicide.
