Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy today said that elaborate arrangements have been made for smooth and transparent conduct of VRO and VRA exams on February 2. Addressing a media conference at Secretariat here he said that about 14 lakh candidates have applied for the posts. Candidates can carry a copy of OMR sheet written and verify with the primary key to be released on February 4 followed by final key on 10, he said. The recruitment drive will be over by February end while primary key will be out on Feb 4, final key on 10 and results on 20, he said adding that verification of certificates and appointments will be done from 26 to 28.
While 13,13,200 applied for 1,657 VRO posts, 62000 applied for 4,305 VRA posts and 37,000 candidates applied for both. So far 96 per cent of 13,37,824 candidates have downloaded their hall tickets online, he said adding that they can do so till 9 am on Feb 2. While 3,684 centers for VROs and 195 centers for VRAs are allotted.
Those candidates with merit and marks will get jobs. He appealed the candidates not to fall prey to middlemen who may take money and cheat in the name of jobs. Question papers will be in English, Telugu and Urdu languages, the examinations for VROs will be held between 10 am and 12 noon and VRA from 3 pm to 5 pm. He said that 737 flying squads and 25,000 police personnel will help Revenue officials for smooth conduct of the exams to be videographed besides taking their finger prints. Late comers will not be allowed while candidates without their photographs on hall tickets should carry any one of ID cards like Driving License, Ration Card, PAN, etc besides 3 passport photos with Gazetted sign.
