Patil Vittal Reddy (58) V.R.O., Veparalla (V), Raidurg (M), Anantapur districtt was caught red-handed by the ACB officials on wednesday at about 13:30 hours at his private office at Raidurg, when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs.2,000 from the complainant G.Ramesh of Chenchanapally village, Raidurg (M), Anantapur District for doing an official favor i.e., for processing fresh entries(pertaining to the purchase of new land) in the already existing pattadar pass book and title deed of the complainant’s uncle and for delivery of the same to the complainant. Bribe amount of Rs. 2000 and concerned file were seized from the A.O.
The accused officer is being arrested and produced before the ACB Court, Kurnool. Case is under investigation. (INN)
