A village revenue officer in Mahbubnagar district was trapped by sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau while he was demanding and accepting bribe from complainant.
Koppunuru VRO Varadarajulu, in charge of Ayyavaripally village under Veepanagandla Mandal of Mahbubnagar District was trapped by the ACB sleuths on Wednesday evening at Chellepadu Pushkar ghat, 26 km from Veepanagandla, when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 10,000 from one S. Shankar of Ayyavaripalli village, to process his application for issue of pattadar passbook relating to his 10 guntas of land.
The accused was arrested and produced before the FirstĀ Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Hyderabad, an ACB press release stated. (NSS)
